Where should we go from here? Talk to us We find that at an early stage we can often offer assistance in planning your project and guide you through the process. Give us a call and we will be pleased to help. Send us some details We are always pleased to give you guidance on whether a particular amount of borrowing is reasonable. To help us give you relevant feedback, please send copies of your Annual Accounts for the last three years, brief details of the proposed project and your thoughts on how you will be able to afford the monthly payments. Set up a meeting Once we are in possession of the details mentioned above, we are comfortable that the proposal looks sound, and you are ready to apply, we will arrange a meeting to complete a detailed application. For smaller mortgages the meeting may be via telephone but in the majority of cases we will travel to see you and view the project site. We ask you to pay the non-refundable part of the arrangement fee at this meeting to cover our travel costs. The decision Following the meeting we may ask you to provide certain other information but, once we have everything we need, the proposal will be presented to the relevant Bank Credit Committee. Our Directors form these committees and their details can be found on our website. They include ministers of churches as well as business people. We expect to provide you with an answer within one week of receiving all the information. Drawdown Once the mortgage is approved and you accept our terms, the details of paperwork and legal work must be tied up. This can take from four to eight weeks to complete, so do ensure you leave enough time when making your application. Once the mortgage is ready to be drawndown, you can take the money in stages if required and in the case of new builds we will need to confirm the development of the site at each stage. . |
